Evangelistic Rally Begins
It’s been a year of planning and prayer. But tonight it got underway. The
evangelistic rally. The site was the Central Cordoba Soccer Field. The
evangelistic rally started just after 8PM. People were streaming in throughout the evening. Local officials were surprised that the attendance was so high because the transit strike affected bus lines serving the city of Rosario. Children ran around and played as temperatures hovered around the 50’s. Adults sat and waited with a sense of expectation. Finally, the choir came out, and took the platform. They were introduced by the head of the local church committee. Then the choir began to minister to the crowd in English and Spanish. People were on their feet, their hands raised worshipping God together. Choir members shared their testimonies about the goodness of God between songs. Later, Pastor Carter preached a powerful message urging everyone to come home to Christ. Many went to the altar as he extended an invitation for people to come forward. The service ended with the choir once again leading the crowd in songs of praise.
The Tobas are Honored
All week, God has been ministering about reaching out and touching the poor. God burdened Pastor Carter’s heart to provide transportation for those living in the poor barrios so they could attend the
evangelistic rally. Buses were sent to them to bring them and take them home.
A special honor went to members of the Toba barrio. All week we have been sharing about them. Now God is honoring them. A special section of seating was held just for them, the poorest of the poor. Pastor Carter asked their pastor, Pastor Leonardo to join him on the platform. God is raising up this humble man. The teams were in tears as they saw him, who was so broken in spirit when they first arrived, and is now walking in the full authority of Jesus Christ. Praise God for all the things he has done.
