The First Outreach Team Arrives in Rosario
Finally the time has arrived!! After a year of planning the first outreach team arrived today. We see a new expectancy from the pastors here.
We truly believe that God is going to do a miraculous work in this city and Argentina. Not because of us, but because of God’s promises. The people here do not know Times Square Church, and this is awesome because as God begins to move they can only look above in knowing that God came and visited them. Our only desire is that Jesus will visit them this week
and that their lives will never be the same!
An Answered Prayer
We had heard about the street children in Rosario and have been praying that we would be able to work with them, but never met anyone who worked with these children. A few days ago we met a young man who lived on the streets for five years and now has a ministry that reaches out to the children and young people living on the streets. In addition to that he has opened up his home and is currently taking care of four young men who used to live on the streets and whose parents have AIDS. We are so excited to be able to send a team to assist him in this work and expecting God to do a wonderful work with this outreach.
This Sickness is for the Glory of God
On an earlier trip the team was able to witness to a boy who was in the children’s hospital dying of cancer. He accepted Christ, and the hospital workers told us that he probably wouldn’t live longer than a few days at most. The team has received news that he is still alive and one of the outreach teams will be going to the hospital Friday morning to do room to room ministry! Praise God!
Open Doors
Elder Chuks and Elder Ignatius who will be accompanying our Senior Pastor, Carter Conlon on this trip, had been having difficulties securing
their visas. On the exact day of their scheduled departure, at the
eleventh hour, the visas came through! He is an on time God!
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Transit Strike!!
Since our arrival, the city transportation workers are discussing a city-wide transit strike which involves all buses (the only form of mass transit) and could include taxis within the next few days as well. This could potentially cause many pastors to miss the Pastors Conference and possibly affect the
evangelistic rally as well. Please pray for this, as this is truly a tactic of the enemy! Pray that God would cause an agreement to be reached quickly between the parties involved.
Health of Families
Many of the team members’ families are being severely attacked in their bodies. The enemy is trying to weaken the team’s focus and effectiveness by causing worry and concern for their families back home or before they leave. Pray that God would put a hedge of protection around all the families represented here in Rosario, especially as the team continues to grow over the next four days. Pray that the team members’ faith would grow as they trust God to take care of their families as they are away doing God’s work.
Staging
Please pray for the staging at both the Pastor’s Conference and the
evangelistic rally. For certain events there will only be about an eight hour time frame to load in all the equipment and set up for the next day’s event. Pray for strength and wisdom of those involved in this area.
Weather
Pray that there would be no issues with weather specifically for the three days of the
evangelistic rally as it will be held outside. God is a God of details and this is one that only He can control.
