| God is looking for the one | 12-Jul-2007 | Team: Medical - Buja Under a toasting Burundian sun, in a small sea of about 400 people, God has me obsessivly looking for the One. Not Jesus, not the Holy Spirit - the simple one. A lost sheep, an old man with the biggest hernia the medical team has seen so far. They were impressed by the size of his ailment - and we coldn't treat him becuase we'd come upon him at the very end of the day. Everyone wants him to be operated on - so does he - desparately, I'm sure.
But, Novence, my interpreter, and I have now toured the whole compound - twice. We've asked a dozen or so men thier names. Nothing. No Alphonse. He was by the gate this morning early someone said, but he must have been swallowed by the desperate crowd.
No worries, the Lord knows exactly where he is doubled nearly to his ankles, taking centimeter steps ahead, dressed in his dark blue and striped long sleeve polyester shirt. Smouldering under the burning sun. God knows where Alphonse is - inching away helped by his tall stick. The Lord is the Master Scheduler. We will find Alphonse.

| Leslie | 12-Jul-2007 | Team: Medical - Buja Leslie - This was on trip where you'd have been a perfect golden ray in the pressed, dense, and dark medical clinic. So many things to do, people to organize, schedules to settle, prayers to pray, hands to lay. Luly, Treg, Emma and I have missed you in this wonderful Godly explosion.

| God's face in Buja | 10-Jul-2007 | Team: Medical - Buja God has shown his face here in Buja, in the eyes of the children and adults at the medical clinics. Many people have accepted Jesus as part of thier treatment. Even a cup of water or a candy has made a difference for the people here. God truly loves us, and the people of Burundi. |
| The difference between Christian doctors and regular doctors | 07-Jul-2007 | Team: Medical - Buja "Wow! That’s the difference between Christian doctors and regular doctors”, said my interpreter. “Christian doctors rely on the Lord for wisdom, while regular doctors rely on their own wisdom.” That comment made such a great impact on me. God is so awesome!

| Three Muslim young men | 07-Jul-2007 | Team: Medical - Buja On Saturday I had my devotion time on the beach. Three Muslim young men (19–20 yrs. old) from the University saw me reading my Bible and asked, “what is that book?” I said, “the Bible.” They asked, “can we read?” I said, “yes.” I opened my Bible to John 3:16 and prayed for them. |
| Greetings | 07-Jul-2007 | Team: Medical - Buja To my staff Cesar, Lee, David: It’s incredible. The Lord is doing an awesome work in Burundi. Thanks, keep praying! Thanks for helping me pack dental supplies.

| Simply Amazing | 06-Jul-2007 | Team: Medical - Buja I’ve seen people juggle balls in the air and even flying batons of fire. But, I never thought I’d see a Nigerian surgeon, in the middle of a makeshift operating room, made pristine by the will of God, juggle impossible challenges to heal the wounded. But, when God wants His people served, in spirit and in health, He moves mountains, creates surgery rooms out of classrooms, makes disinfecting pantries out of broken sinks----but His children in the poorest areas are served, with the love and the efficiency of the very hands of the Almighty. God is simply amazing!

| All His Energy | 05-Jul-2007 | Team: Medical - Buja This is my first missions trip. I was raised in a Korean Christian family, but I got saved only two years ago in NYC. I was worried because I didn’t know what I could do in a mission field. I don’t have any specialty or experience, but I had just one thing- I was determined to do what I was asked to do. Today, my job was perfect because people were asking me to do things. I was the one assigned to run errands between the clinic, the doctors, and the pharmacy. I would walk the patients to different places. I looked for drugs in the bags. I don’t know if they were blessed, but I was so blessed. If I smiled to the long lines of people, or just waved my hands- the people waiting were so happy. At one point the leaders in the team were telling me stop for a few minutes and rest. They feared I would become dehydrated and something would happen. But I didn’t want to stop, because the people in the lines needed me. Just a week ago before I left for Burundi and even yesterday I was sick- but today everything was gone. There was this incredible energy that kept me going and focused. I was hugging people with all my heart and that fed me. I don’t know where the energy and love came from, but it replaced everything that had been wrong before. I am so happy- this has been one of the most blessed days of my life.
