Love.
Our mission team members are assigned a variety of tasks ranging from administering haircuts to cooking to playing with kids to reaching the homeless and drug-addicted…the list goes much further. Even if a team member isn’t able to speak the local language, the activities that he or she will engage in will speak much louder than any verbal communication. Acts of love and compassion break all cultural barriers; at i61 Teams the love of Jesus Christ is our primary goal no matter what the local language is.
Don’t forget- registration for fall 2012 trips begins in May! Check out the list of destinations here.

Interns are a huge part of ministry and administration here at Time Square Church and i61 Teams. This is the final week of the Post-Graduate Internship for all Summit interns; the group of 22 will be heading back to Pennsylvania to finish their studies next week! We will greatly miss Karl-Christian Willis, who has been an integral part of our i61 Teams administration and the Times Square Church missions department. (Yes, this is the handsome young man that has been answering your missions phone calls and returning your emails). Karl and all the other interns have been a wonderful addition to our staff here and we are excited to see what the next chapter in their life holds.
Be sure to check out Summit International School of Ministry, formerly known as Mount Zion International School of Ministry.

“Love Costs Everything” Trailer
Persecution is a reality for nearly two hundred million Christians around the world. Daily, they risk their lives simply because they believe in Jesus. They could surrender, or convert, or quit but the love of Jesus is worth the sacrifice. For many of them, this road leads to death.
Let’s pray for persecuted Christians today!

Watch our video of the week here.
Sometimes the greatest support one can offer is done by simply lifting the need to the Great Provider. During this special season of prayer and fasting at Times Square Church, remember to pray for specific ministries reaching out to the homeless, addicted, hungry, poor, and broken. The link featured at the top of this post will lead to a video providing more information about the Raven Ministry, an outreach to the homeless that is also based at Times Square Church. Please join us in praying for these ministries and NYC!

In San Perdo Sula, Honduras, Times Square Church has been working with a deaf school in the city center. The school, connected to a local church, teaches 77 students from first through eighth grade an accredited education. ChildCry provides a hot meal to these kids daily and we are excited to be a part of watching the school grow. In June we will be making our very first trip down there as a missions team and we are looking forward to having Time Square Church’s Deaf Ministry be a part of this wonderful trip!
