Hearing the Call
The TSC Choir Responds to a Divine Appointment
The TSC choir left New York for Jamaica today right after ministering in the Sunday morning service.
As they waited to depart at JFK, they heard an announcement about a Christian service being offered at the airport chapel. One of the choir members suggested they could attend the service. Our music ministry director agreed. The choir members not only ministered a capella at the church service, but one of them shared from the word of God and many responded to the altar call. Some even got saved!

We’re Standing on Holy Ground
No Man’s Land is Reclaimed for God at Prayer Rally
A prayer rally for the crusade was scheduled for today at 6 PM, and many cars, vans and buses began to arrive bearing the faithful to pray for the coming days of the crusade. Pastor Carter spoke on Achan and the battle of Ai, and called the people present to examine their hearts before God as we cannot confront the battle facing us with unclean hearts. Local pastors prayed and worshiped with the hundreds who turned out for the prayer meeting declaring a new name for No Man’s Land: God’s Land. We were standing on holy ground, for the Lord is here and where he is, is holy! We were awed to see the flurry of activity, children, fellowship and excitement in this place where just a month before no one would step on for fear of being shot or attacked.
The last pastor to pray compared No Man’s Land to the land of Canaan which God had promised to the children of Israel after he took them out of Egypt. “It is a good land,” he exclaimed, just as Joshua and Caleb reported to Moses, and God promised to defeat the gods of the land. “The devil,” he added, “has been building a defensive system to protect the strongholds of sin, witchcraft and idolatry that rule in Trench Town. The only way to bring it down is through praise.” He exhorted those assembled to shout praises to the Lord, and as we began to praise, the moon rose over the horizon, full and bright, bearing promise of a light to come in the midst of the darkness.

You’re Not Tough Enough To Make it in Hell
The Spirit of the Lord Touches Children’s Hearts in No Man’s Land
Today the outreach teams headed once again to No Man’s Land to share the love of Jesus with the children. There was nothing on the agenda but playing games and sharing a snack with them. Newly arrived team members were excited as they boarded buses to Trench Town wearing their Children’s Crusade and Jamaica 2003 T-shirts, filled with the testimonies they had heard the night before at dinner.
A 16-year old brandishing a stick and a knife had been terrorizing some of the children, and actually pulled the knife on two of them. Try as they might, security and outreach team members who had been observing him could not catch him to talk with him. After Pastor Carter prayed, an outreach team member managed to pull the boy aside and shared the gospel with him. The boy kept saying he liked the way he was and did not want to change. The team member persisted telling him, “You think you’re so tough, but you’re not tough enough to make it in hell. All I see is a fearful young boy.” When he said this the boy’s countenance changed and he began to listen. He gave his heart to the Lord.
One of the kids he had threatened with the knife was nearby listening as well. He came over and said he also wanted to give his heart to Jesus. The two kids hugged and forgave one another. Moments later both were seen responding to the altar call given at the prayer meeting. In all, this single outreach team member listed seven children he knew to have accepted the Lord today, including Toney the boy with the knife, and Theo, his new friend in the Lord whom he had threatened earlier that day.

Every Place That the Sole of Your Foot Shall Tread Upon,
That Have I Given Unto You
Reclaiming No Man’s Land One Step, One Soul at a Time
One outreach team member decided to walk the perimeter of No Man’s Land. As he walked he spotted a big man on the other side of the edge. The team member was unexplicably drawn to him, and recognizing the leading of the Holy Spirit, he obeyed and approached the man. He boldly asked him: “Do you believe in God?” The man answered, “I do.” “Do you know Jesus?” the team member persisted. “I do,” the man replied. “But do you know him as your personal savior, do you have a relationship with him.” “No, I don’t,” the man finally admitted. The team member shared the gospel with him and led him to the Lord. Since he could not well understand the man’s accent, he led the man to the prayer tent, to have others minister to him. Afterwards the team member began to walk the field again and invited the man to join him. As they neared the outer reaches of the field, the man showed the team member a place where bodies were dumped. He then told him that the last time he had walked on No Man’s Land was nineteen years ago when he got shot in the leg from afar, just for being there. He had never walked there again, until the team member approached him and spoke to him about Jesus.
