Ministry Profile
The Chinatown for Christ Ministry serves in a community of over 250,000 people, mostly immigrants from China. Many of these immigrants come to America searching for hope but soon find themselves in hopeless situations. For many, life is an endless struggle as they labor long hours for meager wages to pay back their passage to this country. For others, the burden of survival threatens to disintegrate their lives and families. Broken marriages, gambling, illegal dealings, and modern day slavery are lurking behind many doors in this bustling neighborhood. People are desperate for a way out!

The goal of the Chinatown for Christ outreaches is twofold: to be a signpost in Chinatown to point the lost to Jesus, and to make disciples to Jesus Christ. The team brings the Gospel to Chinatown through street evangelism, ESL classes, music, and by co-laboring with local ministries. The backbone of the ministry is intercessory prayer for the people of Chinatown.

Why You Should Get Involved
Jesus was moved with compassion when he saw the wretchedness of the lost. Most people in Chinatown have never known the love of God and his forgiveness of sins. If you are wondering about joining this ministry, consider this:

	Jesus would be moved looking into the empty eyes of a seventy-year-old woman who, having no assurance of her eternal destiny, eagerly seeks words of consolation from a fortune-teller.
	Jesus would be moved seeing the single mother of young children who desperately braves the storms of life with limited resources and no comfort, legal status, and rights in this country.
	Jesus would be moved to see a generation growing up without knowing him, confused and utterly lost.
