NEW! AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE CLASSES
The Deaf Ministry is offering a FREE 8 weeks American Sign Language course.

	Classes will be held every Friday night from Friday, June 13 through Friday, August 1.
	Anyone who is interested must attend the orientation meeting on Sunday, June 8, from 12:30 to 1:15PM, in room 311 of the Education Annex.
	Registration to participate in the class will take place at the orientation meeting, where the purpose of this training and how you can be involved will be discussed.

Ministry Profile
The Deaf Ministry is an outreach to the deaf community in the Tri-State area: New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Our desire is to reach the Deaf with the Good News of Jesus Christ so their lives are transformed by the power of God through the Word of God. We also desire to see deaf believers become mature in their Christian walk and find the will of God for their lives.

We provide interpretation of our weekly services in American Sign Language (ASL) for adults, teenagers, children, and also deaf people of all ages with special needs (i.e. deaf-blind and limited language skills).

American Sign Language interpretation is available during the 10AM and 3PM services Sunday, the 7PM service Tuesday evening, the 7PM intercesory prayer meeting Thursday, and all youth rallies.

Highlights & Praise Reports

I attended a church where I was not growing spiritually. My heart’s desire was to be filled with joy and peace. One day, my friend invited me to Times Square Church. He told me that the sermons really touched his heart. I wanted to find out for myself if this church really preached the Word of God. When I visited in June 2005 it was beautiful. The sermon moved me and it opened my eyes to comprehend God’s true love. I eventually left my other church and began attending the services at Times Square Church. The worship services and the sermons challenged me to become closer to God, to trust Him completely, to understand His great love for us through Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer. The Deaf Ministry also has encouraged me with their prayers. I am learning to put my hope in Jesus Christ. I am learning to depend on the Holy Spirit alone and not on the theological teachings from my seminary years.

Many deaf have struggled with accepting the love of God and have backslidden but I think about the ones who never give up. I think about the deaf woman who fell into sin and came back to God because she knew He is her loving Father and He cares for her. I think about the deaf who struggle with mental disorders and yet they still attend Bible study wanting to learn more about Jesus. They did not give up. God is faithful and He is touching the lives of the ones who are ready to receive to Him.

I am a Jewish Christian. I had a weak Christian life and was backsliden for twenty-two years. I prayed to God and I told Him that I needed His Spirit to lead me to a right church. A friend of mine told me about Times Square Church. The first time I was there I knew that God answered my prayers. I thank God that I am back with Him. I want to be a strong Christian. I desired to study God’s Word and wanted a Bible class. Again God answered my prayer and a Bible study class was started. Now I am motivated to know the Lord and I want the Lord to lead me and fill me more with His Spirit so that I can be fruitful for Him. The worship and songs at Times Square Church truly touch my heart and I praise the Lord all the time.
