| Ministry Profile The call of the Prison Ministry is to share the gospel and disciple people who are living behind bars. The loss of freedom and separation from loved ones causes many to stop running from God. This place of restraint becomes a fertile field in which the seed of the gospel often falls on good ground. Prison Ministry teams choose one facility, commit to the inmates and minister there monthly. Teams gather throughout the month to pray and prepare for the next visit. We go to several adult and youth facilities throughout the city as well as upstate New York. In addition to visiting the facilities, the Prison Ministry also ministers through letter writing. We develop friendships with the inmates and prayerfully respond to questions they have concerning the scriptures. During the Christmas season we have the wonderful privilege of blessing families of prison inmates through the Angel Tree program. Through this program we are able to bring gifts to children who have one or both parents incarcerated. It is a great opportunity to bring the joy and the love of Christ to these children and their hurting families.Ministry Contacts Jerry and Glenda Hampton Ministry Leaders Ministry Events
