“I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness” (Psalm 84:10). 

This is the scripture that often comes to mind when thinking of the Ushers Ministry, but God has made us much more than that.  As ushers, we have the awesome privilege of meeting and greeting the body of Christ as they enter into worship. 

We are blessed as we serve as doorkeepers.  God uses us to minister to the hurting though prayer, a kind word or simply even just a warm smile.  As we serve as doorkeepers, seat people, serve communion and collect the offering, we see the power of God bring the backsliders home, the addicts set free, and the sick healed! 

It is only with a surrendered heart and God’s grace that we are able to serve and see the power of God change lives.

Ministry Events

	Annual Prayer Retreat (May or June-on a Saturday)
	Annual Picnic (August)
	Annual Ushers Training / Refresher (One Saturday in October)
	Every usher is encouraged to volunteer to any short term missions

Pre-service prayer:  

Sundays:
	7:00 - 7:30AM
	2:00 - 2:15PM
	5:00 - 5:15PM

Tuesdays:
	6:00 - 6:15PM

Fridays:
	6:00 - 6:15PM

Location:

All pre-service prayer is held in the Lower Rotunda, except prayer before the 10AM service on Sunday, which is held in the Main Sanctuary.

Monthly Meeting:
Day:	Every Second Sunday of the month
Time:	1:00-2:00PM
Location:	Education Annex, Room 204

Involvement Requirements

	Minimum 6 months attending Times Square Church
	Attend at least 2 services per week at Times Square Church
	Serve in at least one service per week
	Attend prayer before serving in a service
	Attend monthly prayer meeting
	Preferable New Believers 1 and 2 completed
