In the heart of Alabama, in a small town called Opelika is Hope’s Inn, a resident home for women and children that have fallen on hard times. This home provides a spiritual haven for these single mother families to witness the love of Christ through the staff at Hope’s Inn as they get their lives back on track. The team will be cooking, cleaning and loving the families living in the home for the week. Please note: This trip is for women only.
During the Scotland 2009 International Outreach, the business and prison outreach teams built solid relationships with their local counterparts and the teams have been invited to return. You will be ministering to businessmen as well as to inmates at prisons in the Greenock/Glasgow area. A second team will work with a local church in Greenock, raising up young people to become the leaders of their generation. This team will also be going into the local schools to reach out to the young people in the community.
Kakabalika House is home to young men that used to live on the streets of Lusaka. The team will assist local workers as they minister to the boys living in the home, and do street outreaches to those still living there. Experience firs thand a ChildCry feeding program that serves hot meals to over 700 children daily.
This trip seeks to reach and engage a new generation of believers to understand the role that God has given Israel in His plan and purpose for the world. While touring Israel you will visit the Dead Sea, Jerusalem, Tiberius, the Sea of Galilee, a Bedouin village and journey into the desert at night. In addition to learning about the country, you will be participating in a three-day work project helping those in need within the Jewish immigrant community. This Summer SYP is heading to Zambia! A team or youth and young adults will serve at the Kakabalika House, a home to young men that used to live on the streets of Lusaka. We are looking for a team of teachers and workers to come alongside and be a support to these young men as they grow through their new education. Come and see what God is doing through the local church as they bring the transforming love of Jesus to the street kids of Lusaka.
In the center of Greenock is “Oak Mall,” which is filled every day with thousands of shoppers and friends enjoying lunch. A storefront called “Healing Rooms” is a place where people can come to just talk or seek counsel and prayer. On this trip you will serve alongside local Christians from various denominations, sharing the love of God with people in need. The team will also visit nursing homes, ministering in song and testimony, bringing comfort and encouragement through the Word of God and fellowship.
Take a trip to the very first Teen Challenge Center established in Europe. Work alongside students who are enrolled in the Men’s Rehabilitation Program, helping them put on a new roof. Be a source of encouragement to these men who are recovering from life-controlling problems in the Netherlands by “climbing up” and getting your hands and feet dirty.
Take a trip down south to Jacksonville, Texas and join Father’s Love, Inc. as they reach out to inner-city youth living in the area. Participate in drama presentations, VBS, discipleship, and sports activities throughout the week. Pray for drug addicts, feed the homeless, and minister the gospel through street outreaches. You will also take part in a unique ChildCry feeding program to the children of immigrants whose families are struggling to make ends meet. We are also looking for BrickThink volunteers to help complete renovations to a drug and rehabilitation center in the heart of Athens.
This team is a follow-up to a previous group that traveled to Cairo in the fall of 2009. The team of medical professionals screened all the students at a school for Sudanese refugees that ChildCry feeds. Your team will provide additional care, as well as review cases from the previous trip.
The local church has begun feeding programs to the “Garbage People” of Cairo and to its growing population of Sudanese refugees. This has opened the door for believers to reach out to them with the love of Christ. On this trip you will participate in a ChildCry feeding program and encourage local believers as you serve alongside them in the poorest communities of Egypt.

Join the church in Greenock to help reach those who will be the next generation of leaders in Scotland. This team will also be going back into local schools, taking part in a variety of classes, and sharing testimonies with the students.
In the province of Gitega, up a winding mountain road that stretches for miles among breathtaking jungle views, sits a small town named Kibuye. A clinic in this rural community has been the only source of medical care for many local families. Join us as we work alongside local medical professionals at the Kibuye Clinic focusing on acute illness, preventive care, prenatal care, malaria treatment, and treatment of HIV/AIDS.
Take part in a trip that will touch the hearts of the youth of Burundi. You’ll be sharing the gospel in schools and at youth outreaches in local churches, through drama, testimonies and song. Participate in the local ChildCry feeding program, as well as street outreaches. Team members will be serving in both blind and deaf schools, so we need workers with a heart for special needs kids. We will be helping them with their painting, carpentry, sewing and craft classes.
Take a trip down south to Opelika, Alabama, and join the team at “His Place,” a ministry of Harvest Evangelism. “His Place” is a home of restoration for men 18 and older who have life-controlling problems such as drug and alcohol abuse. Share your faith with men enrolled in the program as you work alongside them in renovating their living quarters.
