Alabama (Women only) April 19–25, 2009 |

Trip Cost: $600.00 In 2005, the nation watched as hurricane Katrina ravished the gulf coast, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake. For many families, destruction proved final and even fatal. Homes washed away and life was forever altered, causing an exodus from New Orleans and surrounding areas. Many who left knew that there was nothing to return to and nothing ahead but the road to an uncertain future paved with the hardships of homelessness and helplessness.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Hope’s Inn stood along that road as a safe haven where women and children displaced by the storms of life found refuge. Partnering together to purchase an old hospital that had long ago seen better days, Times Square Church and Rick Hagans’ Harvest Evangelism turned what was formerly a tuberculosis hospital into a beautiful home that houses up to fifty women and their children.
Today the vision for the women that enter Hope’s Inn encompasses the need to rebuild the inner ruins caused by life’s storms with emphasis on discipleship – teaching families the love of Christ in ways that, transcend the individual, flow down to an entire family and break cycles of abuse, godlessness and hopelessness.
You will have the unique opportunity to impact the lives of the women and children living in Hope’s Inn through one on one ministry. Offer the love of God and a listening heart. Offer your time as a priceless gift.
Please note: This trip is for women only.
