Leadership Team

Tim & Cindy Dilena

Tim Dilena is senior pastor of Times Square Church. With almost 40 years of pastoral leadership and experience, he is the third senior pastor since the founding of the church by David Wilkerson in 1987.

The relationship between Tim Dilena and Times Square Church is a close one. Tim’s father, Paul Dilena, was the police captain in David Wilkerson’s bestselling book The Cross and the Switchblade and was the treasurer of the first Teen Challenge. Prior to the senior pastorate, he had been a frequent and well-loved speaker at Times Square Church for over 25 years.

In 1984 he moved to Detroit at the request of Gary Wilkerson, who was starting a church and needed “short-term help.” The Lord laid a burden on Tim’s heart and he stayed in Detroit to start Revival Tabernacle in a former 900-seat XXX movie theater. The church became a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, international house of worship that is still thriving today.

In 2010, he was invited by Jim Cymbala to join The Brooklyn Tabernacle as associate pastor. After five years in Brooklyn, he joined Our Savior’s Church in Lafayette, Louisiana as lead pastor, before returning to New York City in May 2020 to Times Square Church.

Tim attended Baylor University, Wayne State University and Moody Bible Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Corporate Finance and has taken extended studies in apologetics at Oxford University in England.

He has been a regular speaker for the MLB and NFL chapels and is the author of The 260 Journey, a daily reading and devotional through the New Testament.

He travels extensively with Gary Wilkerson and Nicky Cruz speaking at pastor conferences globally for World Challenge, the ministry founded by David Wilkerson, and sits on its board of directors.

Tim and his wife, Cindy, have four children, Christian, Anna, Grace and Lauryn.

Carter & Teresa Conlon

Carter Conlon is General Overseer of Times Square Church, Inc. He joined the pastoral staff as associate pastor in 1994 and was senior pastor from 2001 to 2020.

Pastor Carter has always demonstrated a passion for prayer, which is evidenced by his gathering of 50,000 believers from many denominations to pray for one hour in the middle of Times Square. Through the overwhelming response to Prayer in the Square, Pastor Conlon introduced two new ministries at Times Square Church. The first, Feed New York, is a ministry that supplies food assistance through local churches in the five boroughs committed to helping people in their community who struggle to provide food for themselves and their families. The second is the Worldwide Prayer Meeting. Every Tuesday night Christians from 207 countries and territories submit prayer requests and participate in the prayer meeting online.

Pastor Carter’s one-minute devotional, It’s Time to Pray, is featured on 1010 WINS, the nation’s most listened to all-news station, as well as 320 additional radio outlets. He also hosts a half-hour radio program, A Call to the Nation, which is broadcast throughout the states. Pastor Carter has authored several books, which include The 180-Degree Christian, Fear Not, Unshakable, and autobiographical book, It’s Time to Pray.

God has led Pastor Carter to preach in countries around the globe and continues to be a sought-after conference speaker. He regularly speaks at World Challenge’s Renewing Your Passion for Christ conferences and Family Research Council’s Watchmen on the Wall among others. In response to requests by ministers from all over the world for spiritual mentoring, Pastor Carter developed For Pastors Only, a bi-weekly devotional ministry. Conlon continues to actively serve on the Board of Directors of Times Square Church, World Challenge (founded by David Wilkerson) and Summit International School of Ministry.

Pastor Carter is married to Teresa Conlon, President of Summit International School of Ministry, and an associate pastor at Times Square Church in New York City. The Conlons have three children and eight grandchildren.
