Restoring Confidence, Renewing Joy

A Gathering Time for Pastors & Leaders

The prophet Malachi penned these words, speaking of days very similar to ours: "Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened and heard them, 'and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.'" (See Malachi 3:16-17). As the days around us grow darker, it is imperative that we get together to encourage one another and rediscover our purpose and calling.

There is a confidence and joy available to all as we choose to pray and study the victory of the cross anew and afresh. I look forward to being encouraged by you as we celebrate together the full victory of Jesus Christ. You will not regret making the effort to be there!

--Pastor Carter Conlon

Carter Conlon is Senior Pastor of Times Square Church in New York City, an interdenominational church with more than 8,000 people in attendance, representing more than 100 different nationalities. He joined the pastoral staff in 1994 at the invitation of founding pastor, David Wilkerson, author of the best-selling book, The Cross and the Switchblade. He was appointed senior pastor in 2001.

Pastor Carter is a voice for God far beyond the pulpit of Times Square Church at conferences throughout the world. “It's Time to Pray,” Pastor Carter's one-minute devotionals calling our nation to pray and seek God are currently syndicated in over 300 Christian radio stations worldwide. His weekly program, “A Call to the Nation” launched in February 2017 and is aired by Christian radio stations nationwide. He is the author of several books including "The 180 Degree Christian," "Fear Not" and "Unshakable."

A shepherd not only to the sheep, in 2010 Pastor Carter created “For Pastors Only” in response to requests he received from ministers seeking spiritual mentoring. This online resource airs bi-weekly devotionals and is currently accessed by over 5,000 pastors worldwide. A long-time student of revival, Pastor Carter would have no greater joy than to see the Church of Jesus Christ walking in the fullness of strength and purpose which is available to all who long to glorify Him.

Pastor Carter and his wife, Teresa, have three children and eight grandchildren.

Gary Wilkerson is President of World Challenge, an international mission organization founded by his father, David Wilkerson. Gary is also the founding pastor of Springs Church, which he launched in 2009 alongside several other Christians. He has traveled nationally and internationally holding conferences, planting churches, and starting orphanages, clinics and feeding programs among the poor and unreached people of the world.

Pastor Gary and his wife, Kelly, have four children and live in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Nick Cassidy is the founding pastor of Cork Church in Cork, Ireland. He and his wife Kathryn along with some family members and a few close friends started the church over 20years ago. Through the years the Lord has been faithful to bless the work and develop Cork Church into a vibrant Christ-centered church, built solidly on the New Covenant.

Pastor Nick is a national and international speaker; his heart for people has led him to establish Ireland School of Ministry (ISOM) and Global Missions Ireland (GMI). He has led numerous mission trips and hosted leaders conferences across the globe. Pastor Nick is at the coalface of building the work in Ireland, mobilizing Irish churches for national and international ministry.

Pastor Nick and Kathryn have four sons, two daughters in law and recently they welcomed into this world their first grandchild – a gorgeous baby boy.

Bringing Back the Spirit of Evangelism to Your Church
David Ham

Jesus made it very clear what the first responsibility is for every disciple. He said, "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men." Many have lost the joy of evangelism and the confidence needed to reach the lost.  Jesus said, "The harvest is ripe, but the laborers are few." God desires to restore our faith, renew our calling, set out into the deep and cast the nets.

Christian Ethics
Jerald Hampton

Never has there been a more important time for Pastors and ministry leaders to address ethics in the church. We must prepare for the days ahead and be aware of the subtle traps that will try to ensnare leaders and affect the testimony of Christ. We will also be discussing how leaders can address ethics within the church body.

Christ Our Confidence
Nik Godshall

We are so easily shaken in life and in ministry. Challenges, temptations, and discouragements of all shapes and sizes constantly threaten to kill our confidence, and make us question if we should bother continuing in ministry. How do we remain steadfast amidst so much opposition? The heartbeat of this session will be us understanding that, in all of our circumstances—from the most mundane decisions to the most intense spiritual warfare—Christ remains our Solid Rock, in whom we can place our confidence.

Entering into the Joy of the Lord
William Carrol

By the very nature of our calling, Christian ministers engage life’s most compelling extremes. On a regular basis, we vicariously experience some of the most intense pain and some of the most euphoric joy that our congregations have chosen to express to us. Add this to our own peaks and valleys and you realize why we sometimes suffer from spiritual and physical fatigue. In this study, we shall consider how Jesus attends to the weary minister, and how he restores our fire and revives our joy.

Finding Strength in Strengthless Places
Tim Williams

The bible reveals to God’s people that we are to be a people who “walk on the water;” in other words, a people who have strength to stand and walk in places where human strength can never go. How do we find this strength? And how does God fashion this strength in the lives of His people? Strength is like faith; we are all given a measure, but it is something that’s cultivated in our lives as well. God is faithful to fashion the strength needed for the call.
