April 30, 2008
Dear Pastors and Ministry Leaders,
Pastor’s Prayer on April 9th was one to be remembered. We took time to honor Israel as they celebrate their 60th year as a nation. Guests Pastor David and Karen Davis led us in a powerful time of worship and prayer for God’s chosen people and Messianic congregations throughout New York City and the tri-state area. As powerful as it was unique, this meeting paid tribute to the many promises God has declared over this small, yet highly esteemed, nation.
To be honest, I had never fully understood Israel’s significance, or why it holds such a special place in God’s heart. As Pastor David brought out scripture after scripture revealing God’s promises to Israel, and as we worshiped the Lord in Hebrew and proclaimed Yeshua, name above all names, the Lord deposited a fraction of His heart for the Jewish people into each one of us. For the first time, there is an excitement embedded in me for the way God is going to so mightily move and be glorified through His chosen people!
We look forward to praying with you on Wednesday, May 14th.
