There are two documents that reveal a lot about who we are, the calendar and the checkbook. These reveal two precious resources
we have, time and money.
The Church is turning more into becoming consumers than stewards. People are spending money on things they don’t need with
money they don’t have to
impress people they don’t even like. The checkbook tells us who we worship and what we worship. Tithes are your “thank you note”
When humanity wants to be its own God and government desires to become “god” to the people, they will attempt to pass laws against prayer. As Christians, we
must not let the window of prayer be closed even for one day. It’s time to pray and press into the power of God because He desires to show us His willingness to
Are you experiencing a season of despair where you find yourself confused about the direction your life is taking? The devil’s plan us to convince you that God
doesn’t hear your cry. On the contrary, it is in our valley experience that we learn more about the depth of God and we realize that what we are experiencing is so
much bigger than we can understand. The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him and it is at your lowest point in your life that He will whisper a profound
secret in your heart.
Jesus must be first in everything, even when it is inconvenient or when it is hard. We are not called to self-gratification and ease, there is a cost to serving God.
As humans, we have this innate ability to shrug off the Word of God. You are bearing good fruit don’t be deviated from prayer and the power that God has placed
inside of you. Stay in the Word and close to the Cross. Don’t go back to the person you left behind. It’s Christ in us that is our treasure and we must bring this
treasure to others.
It is in our nature to want to impress others. The only thing that impresses Jesus is our faith. We only need a small mustard seed of faith for God to do big things
in our lives. We can judge what kind of faith we have by the decisions we make. Faith that amazes Jesus submits to the direction that God has for our life, asks
for the mind of God when we are in fiery trials and turns to prayer and praise until the break through comes. Today we are reminded that God never gives up on
His people. He works with us in every situation.
We are living in an extremely lawless time. Jesus said in the last days lawlessness will abound to the point where the love of many will grow cold. We are in a
spiritual war and it can’t be won by human effort. We must put on the full armor of God to stand against the arguments of Satan that goes against the will and
the ways of God. We can fight the darkness by being a lover of truth. Don’t live in a spiritual halfway house, find the will of God and embrace the full journey
and the full supply of Himself that He gives to complete the journey. Let your cry be, “Lord my heart is open, help me and give me an inner supply of your
power and strength.”
When we pray, the Word of God exhorts us to pray “thy Kingdom come thy will be done.” The will of God is to cleanse the sinner and empower those who desire
to do His will on earth. God gives us everything we need to do what he has called us to do. We are cleansed and commissioned by God to be His ambassadors
here on earth for a divine purpose. The kingdom of God is experienced on earth as it is in Heaven when God’s work takes the preeminence in our heart and we
begin to bring the cleansing and a commissioning of God to others.
Do you find yourself at the border of God’s promises facing giants and obstacles that are hindering you from moving forward? Satan’s objective is to conform us
to the mindset of the world. The enemy has an assignment to keep you from the plan of God for your life. Today it is important for you to understand the victory is
yours because of what Jesus Christ has done for you. The victory was won at the Cross where Jesus defeated the plan of the enemy and He has given us power
to fulfill the plan that God has for your life.
The Word of God will bring God Himself to glory in the people and God will do for us what only God can do. We must never be under the ministry of people that
get there by natural means. The Word should challenge our unbelief and cause us to believe in the supernatural. We must believe that God is for us and is willing
to do in us and through us and for us what only God can do. When you go home today don’t weep, instead determine in your heart to believe God for the
This is a message about Time Square Church and the next thirty years. It is imperative that we become a people who learn to say yes to
God. The eyes of the Lord are going to and fro looking for somebody that He can show Himself strong to. Will you abandon your plans
and your image of yourself and not allow yourself to be hindered by your own sense of smallness? When God opens a door for you will
you go through so that the Kingdom of God can go forward through your life? Say, “Yes”, and God will do the rest.
Discouragement comes when we begin to lose courage on our forward journey. Sometimes the journey we have crafted for our future
is partly true and partly fiction. We fall into the theological error of “WhatHowWhen” when we know what God has promised us but we
want to tell him “how” and “when” to do it. In the midst of all our discouragement Jesus still comes and reminds us that He will never
leave us of forsake us. Be encouraged, the plan that God decreed for your life is still unfolding and it will happen in God's time and in
God permits what He hates to accomplish that which He loves. God takes no pleasure in our infirmities but He loves the way He
changes us and encourages others through it. God is calling us to search for a deeper healing. He is interested in delivering us from a
complaining spirit, cleansing our heart and healing our soul. Our physical problems are not God's main focus. The Gospel is His focus.
Sin kills, Hell is real, His kingdom can change you and Jesus is your passport.
God invites us to come and reason with Him so He can give us is heart for all humanity. We cannot bless God and curse people who
God made in His image. The violence we let get a hold of our spirit will consume us. It is so important that we ask God to help us
reason with Him until we agree with His ways. God wants to give us a clean speech so our prayers can be heard and we can cry out
for those who are wrapped in grave clothes. We are called to be of a different spirit and to be a voice of forgiveness and love so we
can push back the darkness. What do people think of Jesus because of you? Does your life carry the fragrance of Christ? It's time to
reason again and say, “Lord I choose life and love.”
There is a moment coming to this world where everything that's manmade and everything that professes to be to be of God will. In
spite of the darkness that will be on the world, there will be a people who are going to sing a song of glory who have an unshakable
ability to worship in these last days. This song cannot be sung if your value system is still in the world. As the land grows darker those
who have Heaven's value system (which is a value system for souls) those who have Calvary's Kingdom planted in their heart will
understand God's keeping power and His willingness to forgive. We must learn to sing and rejoice that we are left on this earth for the
sake of the people who need to know God.
If we are not careful with the things of God something in our heart can close off to who Jesus is and what His purpose is or our lives.
Don't be caught blind in this generation because you crafted another Jesus in your heart. Do we have the courage to humble ourselves
and say God our ways are not your ways? We won't see the real Jesus unless we say blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.
When we open our heart to what He wants for our life, Jesus will shine through you in the darkness.
Don't be deceived into to thinking you can have the worship of God and have your sin too. You humiliated the devil the day you came
to Christ and Jesus made an open display against the powers of darkness but now your mortally wounded by an enemy you let live
and you sit in the House of God disguising your sin. It's time to get to higher ground and move to where the Cross is. Today, humble
yourself, pull of your disguise and the Lord will receive your prayer and shame the devil. Today don't reject the voice of God lest your
compromise swallow you up.
Have you ever been disappointed in God? Are you among those sitting in the house of God feeling a little outside of it all, wondering
if your relationship with God could ever be the way it once was? In these seasons we are prone to make the mistakes.
Discouragement and bitterness against God come into the heart when the plan doesn't move forward like we thought it should move
forward. Your plans may have amounted to nothing but God's plan is still ongoing and God's plan is the best plan of all. God hasn't
written you off, He has not forgotten you and the best for your life is yet to come. Today, if you are hungry and thirsty come home to
The Bible encourages us that men ought always to pray and never give up. God has given us an open heaven and He put an arrow
in our hand, that arrow is prayer. Shooting arrows require effort and aim and sometimes we have to shoot in the dark. The important
thing is that we don't stop shooting the arrows of prayer, trusting that God hears us and He will answer our cry. Prayer does
something in us, through us and for us. Don't be a spectator in with prayer, get off the fence and lay hold of the victory that you have
in Christ. God is calling His Church to step out of where you are and go deeper into Jesus, deeper into His love and power.
The destiny and faith of all mankind is found in Jesus Christ. Jesus represents God's original pattern for man. Jesus should be the
primary focus of our affection and the primary reference point that every aspect of our lives center on. As we fix our gaze on Jesus, He
will cause our faith to raise and we will be strengthened to get through the storms of life.
God's attitude toward the world is that He loves He loves us. God's attitude towards sin is that He hates it. Everyone has sinned and
missed the mark with God. God loves us not because we are loveable but because He is love. You will never realize that you need a
Savior until you understand that you are a sinner. The Good news is that God loved you so much that He sent Jesus to save us from
ourselves. Today, admit you're a sinner, believe in Jesus and confess Him as Lord of your life.
We have all fallen short because of the sin issue. The entire world has received a citation from God and we can't pay it. Those who God
passionately loves are in a condition that God passionately hates. No man can make himself a Christian, God Sent His Son to die for the
sin of man and only God can make man a Christian. We don't get good and come to Jesus, we come to Jesus and He gives us His
goodness. Admit you're a sinner, believe Jesus for forgiveness and freedom and He will fix your sin condition―it's that simple.
The distinguishing mark of a Christian and the only true identity and passport we have in the Kingdom of God is the love we have one for
another. The voice of God calls us to a Holy refusal and to come out of places of small fruit. We must rise up and refuse to live in strife
and bitterness and allow the power of God's love and forgiveness to be evident in the way we deal with one another. God has called us
and He will bless us and make us a blessing by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Are you so comfortable in your Christianity that you are unwilling to get uncomfortable for the sake of bringing someone to Jesus? It is
important to press into to Jesus and breakthrough every obstacle not only for ourselves but for those who don't know Jesus. God wants
to stir up your compassion for others so you can put your faith in action. When you are determined to bring someone to Jesus, faith will
make a way out of no way.
The thief has come to kill your future and family, to steal your joy and hope and to kill your effectiveness on earth. The devil will have
us believe we will always be in pursuit of a victory we will never catch. Today we are reminded that we have been given weaponry in
Christ to pursue the kingdom of darkness and pulldown strongholds. As the Church of Jesus Christ we should stop sniffling and stand
up against Satan because we have a General that is so powerful the mention of His name can fold up the universe. Everyone has a
plan until somebody punches them in the mouth—It's time to punch the devil in the mouth.
When we think of Paradise we think of a wonderful blissful quality of life, void of difficulty and suffering. The truth is the life of a Christian
is a mixture of these two realities: there is absolute joy unspeakable and there is struggle and hardship. The problem with Paradise is
our perception of it. God desires us to prosper through the pain. We must cultivate a life that glorifies God and bring life to others.
We are living in an age of darkness and without God intervening, this generation will end up hopeless. We are up against a lawlessness
that sets itself against all that is from God. We must never lose sight that the battle we fight is for the souls of men. It doesn't matter how
difficult life looks when we turn to God in prayer we are empowered to pull down every stronghold. We must take a stand by getting on
our knees to push back the darkness and bring about a season of mercy through prayer.
This message encourages us to know God in the high and holy places but also to know Him as our Father. God gives us the opportunity to
escape religion and enter into the love of Jesus. Religion causes us to focus on self and everything we do wrong. A true relationship with our
Father will cause us to understand even though we may fail God will be faithful to us.
The fight is on, as long as we have breath we will experience spiritual warfare. Therefore, we must be found in the secret place of God's
presence. We are not to be ignorant of the devil's devices. We must recognize them and resist every scheme through Jesus Christ. In the
heat of the battle don't withdraw. Stay close to God, call upon His name and cultivate a courageous heart. Trust God and your storm will
become a story.
Jesus gave His life for us, to cleanse us from all impurity and to be Lord over every area of our lives. When we willfully disobey the revealed
Word of God we will develop a hard heart. Jesus said, “why do you call me Lord when you don't do what I say?” If you find yourself in a
wilderness of mixture and sin God in His love will cause you to hit a wall. Today, Jesus invites you to surrender the control of your life to the
power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is either Lord of all or He is not Lord at all.
The church of Jesus Christ began with the promise of a divine enablement to those who would turn from their sin and recognize Jesus
Christ as Savior and Lord. In the last days many will settle for an appearance of godliness and abandon God's purpose for them on the
earth. We must beware of always learning but never allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us into the purpose and the place where truth will lead
us. In the last day's the church we will end up where the church began - in the prayer room so that God's power will be rediscovered. Let
us be a people full of the power of God so we can step into public view and point to Jesus Christ the Savior of the world.
There is a unique way a mother comforts her children and God links Himself with the pattern of a mother's comfort. As we dig deeper into
the meaning of the word “comfort” we learn that when God comforts us as a mother comforts her children, the comfort we receive has
the power to change a heart, change a mind, change our conduct and transform us. Someone once said the heart of a mother is a deep
abyss in whom you will always find forgiveness. God our Father does not just sympathize, He does not leave us the way He finds us, He
transforms us by the power of His comfort and forgiveness.
God is our Father and fathers say, “no.” When God says no it's not rejection, it's protection. This is the bad math equation: a tough season
plus an open door doesn't always mean God wants you to leave a hard place. Stay put and God will give you strength. The one that causes
the wounds can be the very one that heals the wounds when you choose to stay in the difficult places. Many times God's “no” is a course
It's imperative to know the voice of God and to recognize the day of His visitation. Prayerlessness is thievery, it robs us of the power we can
receive from being in God's presence and believing God's promises. We are living in the day of God's power, and He is calling His church
back to Himself. It's vital to get back to the prayer meeting and get out of every place that is weakening our testimony. The strength of God's
Kingdom is found in the prayer meeting. Will you be a volunteer is the day of God's power?
Have you deviated from the path of God in pursuit of self? If we don't get the self-focus out of our heart, we will begin to create
Christ that will accommodate our selfish pursuit and we will end up in a dry place. Today, if you have this cry in your heart, “God
speak to us, we are dry and we have lost our confidence and our joy is almost gone.” God's answer to you is, “Hear the Word of the
God desires to give you a power source that is not your own. He will bring you up out of every place where death has reigned.
There is a difference between the message of Christ and all the other religions that are available to humankind. God almighty in the
power of the Holy Spirit is not only willing to save us but He is willing to indwell us and transform us from the inside out. If you have
you, the Hope of Glory, that is God's way of making Himself known to others who are outside of His Kingdom. Christ in us gives us
power to break every bondage, endure every storm and empowers our speech to bring light to others who are captivated in
As the people of God, we have lost our focus. We have lost sight of our condition and our calling. It's imperative to rediscover our
in Christ and what God ‘s purpose is for us in the earth. If you open the door of your heart God will open the scriptures to you, give
understanding and bring you into a place of power. Let your cry be, “Lord anoint my eyes, show me Your purpose for my life and
a heart to do the work of an evangelist.”
Our nation is experiencing a breakdown of decency, morality and civility. In the very near future sin will have its full expression
creating the last worldwide rebellion against the Lordship of Jesus Christ. In the midst of it all, there will be a people who will
rediscover that we are the Church of the Living God, and the Christ who triumphed over sin and Satan, lives inside of us. We, as
God's people, have power in prayer to turn this hellish agenda back and make it bend its' knee to Christ. If we will pray God will hear.
We must stand in prayer against all that threatens our future, family, city and our nation. Let's give our hearts and time to pray and
believe God for a spiritual awakening.
Have you ever heard a Word from God and you went out in faith only to feel like God didn't go with you? There are moments when you
will do everything right only to have everything go wrong and the first step of obedience will feel like you made a mistake. Sometimes we
feel like we are kicked over by God but don't give up God is teaching you to get up and keep going. God always delivers His people and
your story is never over because He is writing it.
What are these dreams that old men will dream? The Holy Spirit will give you divine revelation and power to speak to the next generation. If our hearts are turned inward we will lose vision and power, but when our heart turns to the children of this generation God will pour out His Spirit upon us. Pastor Carter gives an illustrated sermon of his life's journey to encourage us to speak into the lives of our family and to influence another generation.
This message comes with a warning. The world as we know it is going to plunge into an unspeakable darkness. Israel will soon be encompassed by enemy armies. Jesus warned us in the last days that many false prophets are going to arise and many people will be deceived because they are not in the Word of God. There is power in the Word of God to bring life, strength and direction. The promises of God are there for you to establish your thoughts so you can get through your day. We can't live on yesterday's bread, that's why Jesus told us to pray, “Father give us this day our daily bread.” Let's get into the Word of God and allow the Word of God to get into us.
Do you find yourself dwelling in a booth between bondage and freedom? Do you have an element of your former bondage that is still
clinging to you and your exhausted from trying to be a good Christian? All God requires of you is a heart that thirsts for is Kingdom.
When your heart is dry and thirsty and you have nothing left to help yourself God will invite you to come to Him and He will be all the
supply and resource you will ever need. As you open your heart to God's promises life from within will start to spring forth onto others
who are thirsty to hear the good news of the Gospel.
We are living in a perilous and dark moment in history and all around us evil speech is permeating the air. As the Body of Christ we must
not get swept away in this bitter division. Our cry should be God gives us the Grace to be your Ambassadors of forgiveness and
reconciliation. Just as Joseph's father gave him a coat with many colors so did God the Father give His Son Jesus a Body of all colors.
Love and unity among God's people gives us a testimony that burns bright and brings Glory to Jesus.
When you're in the middle of serving God and the devil tries to sabotage your service and commitment to God don't be surprised if a
snake jumps up to bite you. God will establish a platform of your suffering to become a testimony. Nothing the devil throws your way will
be able to harm you. When a snake jumps up to bite you look to the Victory of the Cross, keep on serving and God will give you all the
power you need to shake it off. In the midst of a fiery trial allow God to make you a demonstration of His Grace.
You started out with such fervor and fire for the Kingdom of God and now you find yourself living on Had-Hoped Street. Had Hoped
Street is easy to find, it intersects with Too Late Lane, Despair Drive and Bitterness Blvd. Just travel on Personal Excuse Expressway
and get off wherever you like. To continue your journey study the bible, listen to its direction for your life and then go another way.
Today Jesus will meet you where you are and offer you a way out. We begin our departure when Jesus opens our eyes to the fact that
He was broken for us and He is inviting us to be broken for others. When we, even in our confusion make the choice to live for the
benefit of others Jesus comes into full view again.
What is this grand conspiracy forming in the world today? What is the source of this agitation? Satan has succeeded in sowing his
character in humanity that says we can be our own judge and determine for ourselves what is good and what is evil. The only
impediment to this misguided journey in this society is now on God and His people who stand in stark contrast showing the world
there is a God, and there is something called sin. Sin separates us from God, not just in time but for eternity. There is only one King
in this world and Jesus is the only King that can show mercy to a sinner and declare them forgiven and cleansed. If you are a
casual Christian living in compromise the Holy Spirit will help you escape the boundaries of your own stubbornness and empower
you to live in the boundaries of God's kingdom.
